William Mitchell is founder of Personal Motivation Hypnosis Clinics in Illinois, and often consults with other hypnotists wishing to replicate his model for clinical practice. Since 1997 he has hypnotized thousands in group seminars, performed more than 150 stage hypnosis events, and currently works with several hundred private clients per year.  He is a Certified Instructor for the National Guild of Hypnotists, and an adjunct faculty member at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, serving on their Complementary and Alternative Medicine Panel.
Dr. Mitchell's academic achievements include:  BA from Culver-Stockton College; Theology studies at Texas Christian University Brite Divinity School and Phillips University Graduate Seminary in Oklahoma, where he earned a Master of Divinity degree; Doctoral work at TCU as well as Madison University, where he completed a Professional Doctorate of Hypnotherapy degree.  He has worked with churches in Missouri, Nebraska, Kentucky and Texas, and currently serves as pastor for the First Baptist Church in Stonington, Illinois.  For testimonials and photos go to or see a video clip at
